Defense Hardware Contract Manufacturing

Defense Hardware and Structural Component Contract Manufacturing in Taiwan

For nearly 20 years Choun Yi Industrial has manufactured metal hardware components and structural parts for defense-related customers, using fine blanking, vacuum heat treatment, 5-axis CNC and surface treatment to meet military and weather-resistance standards. Projects run under NDA; this page describes capability and process only, not specific items.

Key facts

Scope of work

Metal hardware components and structural parts built to customer drawings: thick-gauge fine-blanked parts, high-strength heat-treated parts, 5-axis CNC-machined aluminium and titanium structures, components requiring corrosion- and weather-resistant finishes, and multi-part sub-assemblies. Materials cover stainless steels, tool steels, aluminium alloys and titanium alloys.

In-house processes

  • Thick-gauge fine blanking and stamping
  • Vacuum heat treatment with hardness and toughness verification
  • 5-axis CNC milling of aluminium- and titanium-alloy structures
  • Anodizing, plating, PVD and weather-resistant finishes
  • 100% KEYENCE image measurement inspection with batch-linked data
  • Sub-assembly, laser marking and packaging

Confidentiality and traceability

Defense projects always begin with a signed NDA before any drawings are exchanged. Drawings are stored in SolidWorks PDM with per-project access and every open and edit logged; information security is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and quality management to ISO 9001:2015. Material lot numbers, process records and measurement data are traceable for every work order and available for customer audit.

FAQ

Under NDA we do not disclose project contents or customer names. What we can provide: years of engagement, the types of parts handled, the processes used and our certification documents, plus a factory visit after an NDA is signed.

Yes — fine blanking only, or heat treatment and grinding only, for example. Keeping the whole chain under one roof does give a single owner for tolerances, complete traceability and usually lower cost, so we can weigh both options during design review.

Drawings live in SolidWorks PDM with per-project access, information security management is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and core systems run on virtualised servers with scheduled backups. See the IT & quality systems page.
